Dump Truck Driver:

Position Summary
The Dump Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport construction materials, equipment, and supplies to and from underground utility construction projects. This position supports utility installation crews by delivering stone, sand, soil, pipe, and other materials while maintaining equipment, complying with all DOT regulations, and assisting with job site operations as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Safely operate a Class B or Class A dump truck to transport materials to and from construction sites.
• Deliver and haul aggregates, excavated materials, pipe, and other construction supplies.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required vehicle inspection reports.
• Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials using dump truck controls and other equipment.
• Coordinate with project supervisors and field crews to ensure timely deliveries.
• Keep trucks clean and perform routine maintenance, reporting mechanical issues promptly.
• Safely maneuver trucks in confined construction areas and around heavy equipment and personnel.
• Secure loads in accordance with applicable safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery tickets, haul logs, and other required documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Valid Class B CDL required; Class A CDL preferred.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Clean driving record.
• Previous experience operating dump trucks in construction or utility work preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe vehicle operation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime when required.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience hauling materials for underground utility, roadway, or heavy civil construction projects.
• Experience operating trailers or pulling heavy equipment.
• Familiarity with underground utility construction and job site operations.
